Problem Note 42100: Display of broadcasts in SAS® Digital Marketing 5.3 Web Studio is slow or has stopped

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

The broadcast display model in SAS Digital Marketing 5.3 Web Studio has changed.

Previously, broadcasts were displayed in a directory and subdirectory structure, as it is done in SAS Digital Marketing Studio. Now, all broadcasts and broadcast groups are displayed in a flat structure. If your installation contains many broadcasts (that is, numbering in the thousands), the new display model can cause problems: Web Studio might seem unresponsive, it might display memory errors, or it can simply take a long time to return all of the broadcasts.

You can circumvent this problem as follows.

  1. When you first log in, stop the page from loading.
  2. Append the parameter &findText= string to the end of the URL: http://servername:port/sdm/weblist.jsp server=servername&user=username&session={sas001} password&editable=true

The main page filters for only the string that is appended. For example, the following URL searches only for the string "Acceptance" and displays only the relevant broadcasts:

http://servername:port/sdm/weblist.jsp?server=servername&user=username&session={sas001} password&editable=true&findText=Acceptance
