Problem Note 42064: A copied Microsoft Excel worksheet might not retain SAS® content from the original worksheet

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

If you copy a worksheet in Microsoft Excel that contains SAS content that was added by using the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office, the copied and original worksheets might not retain the SAS associations from the original worksheet. For example, if the original worksheet contains SAS data or results from a stored process, when you copy and reorder the worksheet in your workbook, the associations with the SAS data or results might be lost. Sometimes, the first sheet contains the link to the SAS server data or results.

Only the original worksheet should be associated with SAS. Copied worksheets do not retain any SAS associations because copying a worksheet is purely an Excel function. The SAS Add-In does not know when this copy action has occurred.
