Problem Note 42994: Mapping multiple tables to a single table when you import a SAS® metadata package file results in corruption
In SAS® Data Integration Studio 3.4, it is not possible to have more than one instance of a table metadata object in a single job. That is, if you need to use a table more than once in a job, you must define multiple table metadata objects.
In SAS Data Integration Studio 4.21, this restriction is lifted. Consider the following example: You import a package that includes a job and you map two (or more) distinct table objects to a single table object. Only one table reference will render in the job. You also receive the following message upon opening the job:
This job has changed since it was last opened.
The code might be incorrect or it might not execute due to missing mappings. The only workaround at this time is to manually add and link the table in the second (and subsequent) required positions in the job.
