Usage Note 42727: The SAS® Metadata Server I/O subsystem has returned error message 'ERROR: Library TMP000 does not exist.'
During the installation and configuration of a new SAS® Metadata Server, you might see the following messages in the SAS Metadata Server log immediately after the SAS Metadata Server is started for the first time:
The SAS Metadata Server I/O subsystem has returned error message
'ERROR: Library TMP000 does not exist.'.
Contact the SAS Metadata Server administrator for assistance.
Repository '' is being forced OFFLINE because the directory
'MetadataRepositories\Foundation' cannot be accessed.
I0000003.METAIMDB does not exist. Performance optimizations not in effect.
The messages are a natural consequence of the way the SAS® Deployment Wizard does the initial setup. In the process of creating a new Foundation repository, the SAS Deployment Wizard first queries whether a Foundation repositoriy already exists, which it does not initially. This check for a non-existent Foundation repository generates the messages above. However, the Deployment Wizard then proceeds to create and initialize Foundation as indicated by the messages that follow:
User libref, TMP000, assigned to path, C:\SAS\Config\Lev1
\SASMeta\MetadataServer\MetadataRepositories\Foundation, with server libref, I0000003.
User libref, TMP000, deassigned from path, C:\SAS\Config\Lev1
\SASMeta\MetadataServer\MetadataRepositories\Foundation, and server libref, I0000003.
NOTE: There were 7 observations read from the data set SASHELP.METAIMDB.
NOTE: The data set I0000004.METAIMDB has 7 observations and 9 variables.
Created I0000004.METAIMDB from SASHELP default data. Performance optimizations initialized.
User libref, TMP000, assigned to path, C:\SAS\Config\Lev1
\SASMeta\MetadataServer\MetadataRepositories\Foundation, with server libref, I0000004.
NOTE: There were 7 observations read from the data set SASHELP.METAIMDB.
NOTE: The data set I0000004.METAIMDB has 7 observations and 9 variables.
RegisterRepository Id=A56OC01S, Name=Foundation, Path=MetadataRepositories\Foundation,
Engine=BASE, Options=., Model=11.03.
As long as the Foundation repository is successfully created, the error message can be safely ignored.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
When installing a new SAS® environment, an I/O error might appear in the SAS® Metadata Server log when the server is started for the first time.
