Problem Note 42697: Incorrect results might occur when you specify the READBUFF= option with SAS/ACCESS® Interface to DB2 in the IBM z/OS operating environment
Incorrect results might be generated when the following events occur:
- You are using explicit pass-through to access DB2
- You set the READBUFF= option to something greater than 1 in your CONNECT TO DB2 statement
- You are retrieving at least 1 variable defined as a DECIMAL data type in DB2
- Your query includes an ORDER BY clause outside of the pass-through part of the query
The only workarounds are to either set the READBUFF=1, move the ORDER BY inside the pass-through part of the query, or sort the data in a subsequent step.
