Problem Note 42626: SAS® program files are overwritten with empty files

In SAS 9.1 and SAS 9.2, SAS program files seem to save without any error or warning message. However, if the disk space is low on the drive where the SAS program resides, then the SAS program file is saved to the correct filename, but the file size is 0 bytes. Subsequently, if you open the SAS program file, the file exists but is empty.
This problem occurs when there is not enough disk space on the drive.
There are no circumventions for this issue. Obtain the SAS code from a backup copy of the SAS program file.
