Usage Note 42559: Drop-down lists in the SAS® BI Dashboard Web application are empty
After you apply the SAS BI Dashboard 4.3 upgrade to the third maintenance release for SAS® 9.2 (TS2M3), the drop-down list in the SAS BI Dashboard Web application might be empty.
The SAS BI Dashboard Configuration Data folder in SAS® Management Console might be missing also.
These problems occur on multiple-tier installations when the SAS BI Dashboard Configuration Data component is not installed correctly on the server tier where the metadata server resides. The 4.3 upgrade must be applied to all of the systems in the multiple-tier installation in the order in which the initial installation is completed.
To correct the problem perform the following steps:
- Use the SAS® Deployment Manager to remove the SAS BI Dashboard 4.3 configuration from the middle tier.
- Install and configure the SAS BI Dashboard Configuration Data on the metadata server.
- Restart the SAS® Metadata Server.
- Use the SAS® Deployment Wizard to reconfigure SAS BI Dashboard 4.3 on the middle tier.
Ensure that you also select to configure your Web application server when selecting to reconfigure SAS BI Dashboard.
