Problem Note 42482: Memory improvements to PROC KDE
PROC KDE has undergone improvements that allow it to use memory more efficiently and handle larger problems. For example, a test case on a bivariate density with the option NGRID=4000 now completes successfully without issuing an out-of-memory error.
PROC KDE is still bound by system limitations on the amount of memory the procedure can access, but the procedure itself can now run successfully on much larger data sets and with option settings that have a large impact on the size of the problem, such as large values of NGRID= .
A Hot Fix for SAS 9.2 TS2M3 for this issue is available under the Hot Fix tab above.
