Sample 42360: How to append a new autocall library to the existing value of the SASAUTOS= system option without retyping it
The APPEND= system option allows you to append a value to the existing value of the specified system option. One of the options APPEND= works with is the SASAUTOS= system option. APPEND= will allow you to append a new autocall macro library to the existing value of the SASAUTOS= option without having to retype the entire value for the SASAUTOS= option.
NOTE: This option is first available in SAS9.2TS2M2.

Here is an example of how to use the APPEND= system option. You will have to use your own autocall libraries in your code.
NOTE: This option is not available until SAS9.2TS2M3.
/*an example of the original setting for the SASAUTOS= option*/
filename mymacs 'c:\macros1';
options mautosource sasautos=(sasautos,mymacs);
/*the following will write to the log the current value of SASAUTOS=*/
%put %sysfunc(getoption(sasautos));
/*here is the new autocall library that is to be appended to the existing value of
SASAUTOS=*/
filename mymacs2 'c:\macros2';
/*here is the syntax for using the APPEND= option*/
options append=sasautos=(mymacs2);
/*write out the new value of the SASAUTOS= system option*/
%put %sysfunc(getoption(sasautos));
