Installation Note 42326: Installing SAS® Enterprise Guide® 4.1 after SAS® Enterprise Guide® 4.2 causes a server connection error
Installing SAS® Enterprise Guide® 4.1 on a machine that has an existing SAS Enterprise Guide 4.2 installation will result in the following error being displayed in SAS Enterprise Guide 4.2 when attempting to connect to a remote application server:

is not supported. SAS 9.2 or better is required.

To circumvent this problem, you must reinstall the SAS® 9.2 Integration Technologies Client from a SAS Software Depot using the instructions from Installation Note 36207 to correct this issue.
