Installation Note 42246: "SEVERE: java.io.IOException" error when running SAS® Deployment Wizard or SAS® Deployment Manager
In SAS® 9.2, SAS® Deployment Wizard or SAS® Deployment Manager issues a "SEVERE: java.io.IOexception" error on AIX:

The error is followed by related Java errors.
When seen in SAS Deployment Wizard, this error is spurious and can safely be ignored. However, this error is believed to have the potential to cause problems with viewing metadata after host names have been updated via SAS Deployment Manager. To avoid this problem, define the following symbolic link:
ln -s . /apps/sas/install/jre1.5_SR8a/jre/jre
where /apps/sas/install/jre1.5_SR8a is the location of your JRE installation.
