Problem Note 42153: SAS® Web Report Studio 4.2 cannot distribute reports via e-mail
The SMTP e-mail server that SAS Web Report Studio 4.2 uses requires authentication. However, SAS Web Report Studio 4.2 does not support SMTP authentication. As a result, if you try to distribute a report via e-mail, the following error occurs and the report is not distributed:
ERROR [] com.sas.report.output.management - Error publishing to email.
com.sas.report.output.management.OutputManagementException: Unable to send e-mail.
[ com.sas.services.TransportException: Error encountered sending the alert notification.
[ com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSendFailedException: 530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated
Currently, no workaround is available.
