Problem Note 42142: A "Read Access Violation" error and abnormal termination of SAS might occur with the GEOCODE procedure
The following messages might be received when using the GEOCODE procedure to geocode an address data set:

In addition to the messages, SAS might abnormally terminate.
The problem is most likely to occur when geocoding an address data set that contains more than 999 addresses.
To circumvent the problem, do one of the following:
- Separate your address data set into smaller data sets containing 999 observations or less and use PROC GEOCODE with each of the individual data sets.
- Invoke SAS using the LOGPARM="WRITE=IMMEDIATE" option.
