Usage Note 42108: Enabling SAS® Digital Marketing to store snippets in a location that is accessible to Dreamweaver
SAS Digital Marketing uses the advanced server property DreamweaverSnipprtDir to determine where to write snippets for use by Dreamweaver. Below is the default value for DreamweaverSnipprtDir:
%userprofile%\Application\Data\Macromedia\$DREAMWEAVER_RELEASE\Configuration\Snippets
When you use this default value and have a Windows roaming user profile, SAS Digital Marketing writes the snippets to your network profile location. However, Dreamweaver expects the snippets to be in the local user profile. Using the default value for DreamweaverSnipprtDir leaves Dreamweaver unable to find your snippets.
A workaround to this issue is to create a BAT file to launch SAS Digital Marketing Studio. The BAT file includes the parameter Duser.home=%userprofile%. The %userprofile environment variable resolves to the local profile location
and Dreamweaver can find your generated snippets. The contents for an example BAT file are listed below:
"C:\Program Files\SAS\Shared Files\JRE\1.4.1\bin\java"
–Xmx1024m
–Dsun.java2d.ddoffscreen=false –Dsun.java2d.d3d=false –Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true
–Dbulkemail.home="C:\Program Files\SAS\SASDigitalMarketing\5.1"
–Djava.security.policy="C:\Program Files\SAS\SASDigitalMarketing\5.1\config\java.policy"
–Djava.library.path="C:\Program Files\SAS\SASDigitalMarketing\5.1\lib\."
–Djava.system.class.loader=com.sas.app.AppClassLoader
–Dsas.app.class.dirs="C:\Program Files\SAS\SASDigitalMarketing\5.1\lib"
–Dsas.app.class.path=sas.email.broadcast.jar;.
–Dsas.ext.config=lib\sas.java.ext.config
–cp lib\sas.launcher.jar.com.sas.email.client.monitor.BulkEmailMonitor
–studio localhost:9221
–Duser.home=%userprofile%
