Problem Note 42043: Cannot create a custom filter for missing dates or datetimes when opening an information map in SAS® Enterprise Guide® or the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office
Beginning with version 4.3, you can create custom filters when opening information maps in SAS Enterprise Guide and the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office. When filtering on dates, datetimes, and timestamps, the value that you enter is automatically converted into a SAS date constant. The date constant (for example, '30Jun2010'd) appears immediately below the Enter a value box.
Because of this automatic conversion, you cannot filter for missing date values. For example, for a datetime value, if you enter .
or 0
in the Enter a value box, your entry is converted to '1Jan1:0:0:0'dt'
, which returns no results. As a workaround, create the filter in SAS® Information Map Studio, and then apply that filter when opening the information map in SAS Enterprise Guide or the SAS Add-In.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue. After you install the hot fix, the custom filter feature includes the operators IS MISSING, CONTAINS, and LIKE. The hot fix also adds the ability to edit custom filters.
