Problem Note 41829: A SAS® Marketing Optimization validation might fail with the error "Duplicate combination detected"

If you create an optimization group in SAS Marketing Optimization and you validate it, the validation might fail with the following error:
ERROR:(mo_validate_input_data)- Duplicate combination detected in CUSTOMERCONTROL table where NUMERIC_MEASURE=score_ , CAMPAIGN_CD=0610_1 , COMMUNICATION_CD=multi , and CELL_CD=female.
This problem might occur if you use score values from SAS® Marketing Automation that have numbers as suffixes. SAS Marketing Optimization incorrectly replaces these numeric suffixes with underscores (_), as shown in the following examples:
- Score1 becomes Score_.
- Score2 becomes Score_.
You lose the uniqueness of the score values. Therefore, the software generates the message regarding duplicates.
As a workaround, you should ensure that your score values do not depend on numbers for uniqueness.
