Problem Note 41795: Copy might lose connection when copying multiple partitions to a captain
During the SAS® High-Performance Markdown Optimization batch estimation process, data is copied from the High Performance Merchandise Intelligence Grid Server to each of the grid captains. When copying multiple data partitions to one grid captain you might see the following error:
YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS,SSS [pool-10-thread-5] ERROR - Error in CaptainWork
java.lang.RuntimeException: error (RC=255) while executing shell command
'/usr/bin/ssh -o ServerAliveInterval=60 <your_captain_name> sh':
Read from remote host <your_captain_name>: Connection reset by peer
This error occurs when multiple network connections are established to the captain to copy multiple partitions. The captain might become very busy trying to copy all of the data and become slow to respond to the network connections. If it becomes slow enough, the connection will time out and be reset.
