If SAS Warranty Analysis loses contact with the SAS® Workspace Server, your system might stop responding, leaving the analysis stopped in the running state. This can happen, for example, if the object spawner is stopped or fails or if the SAS® process for the workspace server connection is terminated. Normally, when the object spawner is started, the analysis icon is updated on the next cycle of the JobControl table, typically within 5 minutes. However, if the middle tier is not restarted, it is possible that an analysis will stay in the Updating state for as long as 24 hours.
To work around this issue, restart the middle tier.
