Problem Note 41349: Bulk-loading data with a TIMESTAMP column fails if you use a DB2 9.7 client with a DB2 9.5 server
When you use the BULKLOAD=YES option to bulk-load data, the load fails and the following error occurs in the SAS log:
WARNING: SQL3107W There is at least one warning message in the message file.
In addition, the Bulkload log file shows an error similar to the following:
SQLSTATE 07006: An input host variable cannot be used, because of its data
type.
These errors occur when you bulk-load data that includes a TIMESTAMP column and when you use a DB2 9.7 client against a DB2 9.5 server. However, a 9.7 client that is run against a 9.7 server works fine.
To work around this issue, either make sure the client and server are at the same level or use a different bulk-loading method other than that used in the IMPORT procedure (that is, the BL_METHOD=CLILOAD).
