Problem Note 41347: An error occurs when you try to create metadata for DB2 columns with the TIMESTAMP data type
The following error occurs when you try to create metadata for DB2 9.7 table column that uses the TIMESTAMP data type:
ERROR: CLI cursor extended fetch error: [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/LINUXX8664]
SQL0180N The syntax of the string representation of a datetime value is
incorrect. SQLSTATE=22007
Prior to DB2 9.7, the DB2 TIMESTAMP data type could hold three digits of fractional seconds, for example, 12:34:56.123. With DB2 9.7, however, IBM increased the number of fraction seconds to 12 digits, which means that the SAS/ACCESS® Interface to DB2 engine needs to accomodate this change.
To circumvent this issue, use DB2 9.5 or another version prior to 9.7 that does not contain this change for the TIMESTAMP data type.
