Problem Note 41336: Error occurs when you try to build a query or filter on a data set in SAS® Enterprise Guide®

The following errors might occur when you attempt to open the Query Builder or the Filter and Sort task:
You cannot create a query based on data_set_name. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
In SAS Enterprise Guide 4.3, this error is most likely to occur when an Export as a step in project task exists within the project branch that includes the data that you are using to build a query or run a filter and sort. (If you are running a previous version of SAS Enterprise Guide, then this error can occur for other reasons.)
To circumvent the problem, you must remove the export step from the project.
