Problem Note 41266: Filenames with a "\dq" or "\sq" in the path are interpreted incorrectly in SAS® Enterprise Guide®

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

If a filename contains a "dq" or an "sq" after a "\", SAS Enterprise interprets the slash as an escape character, which generates the following error:

ERROR: Invalid physical name for library X.
ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement.

Here is an example.

libname example "C:\example\dqtemp";

This statement is interpreted as the following by SAS Enterprise Guide.

libname example "C:\example""temp";

The workaround is to change the backslashes in the path to forward slashes, like:

libname example "C:/example/dqtemp";

A hotfix is planned for this issue.
