Problem Note 41233: "File error: data may have been lost" error when opening an Excel spreadsheet which has been created by a SAS Customer Intelligence Export
After exporting more than 65,536 rows from SAS Customer Intelligence to Microsoft Excel an error will be thrown by Excel when the spreadsheet is opened:
File error: data may have been lost
This error occurs because Excel has a limit of 65,536 rows per spreadsheet.
To circumvent this error, either...
- Limit your export to less than 65,536 rows, or...
- Use Excel 2007 (or later)
