Problem Note 41210: Using the APPEND procedure causes the bulk-load summary to be listed as a warning
When you use the APPEND procedure against a Sybase table, the bulk-load summary is listed as a warning. This behavior can conflict with programs that are not allowed to have a warning in the SAS log.
Currently, there is no workaround for this problem.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
This hot fix contains support for the new environment variable SYB_SAS_BULK_NOTE. Setting this environment variable causes the warning to be issued as a note.
On PC platforms, you should set the environment variable, as follows, before SAS invocation:
set syb_SAS_bulk_note=1
On UNIX platforms, you set the environment variable before SAS invocation, as follows:
export syb_sas_bulk_note=1
