SAS Information Map Studio directly supports the use of individual shared prompts as long as the prompt requires a value and it is not one of the following types:

• Text (multi-line and masked single-line)

Note: SAS Information Map Studio does support single-line text prompts that are shared.

• Color (contains an RGB color value).
• Data Source (contains a reference to a table, cube, or information map).
• Data Source Item (contains references to columns in a table or data items in a relational information map).
• File or Directory (contains a reference to a file or directory in the file system of a SAS server).
• Data library (contains a reference to a SAS library).

SAS Information Map Studio cannot directly use shared prompt groups, although a shared prompt group can be part of a stored process that is associated with the information map.

Note: You cannot establish dependencies for shared prompts.

If the prompt type is not supported, then the prompt does not appear in the Shared Prompt dialog box in SAS Information Map Studio.
