Problem Note 41806: Customized locations of the WORK and SASUSER libraries are overwritten when you apply a maintenance release to a SAS® 9.2 software deployment
After you apply a maintenance release to an existing SAS 9.2 deployment, any prior customizations to the location of the WORK and SASUSER libraries contained in the SASV9.CFG file are overwritten. The updated SASV9.CFG file specifies the default location for the libraries.
The defaults settings for the -SASUSER and -WORK libraries are as follows:
/* Setup the default SAS System user profile folder */
-SASUSER "?CSIDL_PERSONAL\My SAS Files\9.2"
/* Setup the default SAS System user work folder */
-WORK "!TEMP\SAS Temporary Files"
As part of the maintenance installation process, the original SASV9.CFG file containing the customizations is backed up and saved as a file named SASV9.xxx (where xxx is the version of the backed up file).
To restore the former customizations, edit the SASV9.CFG file using an editor (such as Notepad or Textpad). Copy the customizations for the WORK and SASUSER libraries from the backed up SASV9.xxx file into the new SASV9.CFG file. After making these changes, select File ► Save.
The SASV9.cfg and backup SASV9.xxx files are located by default in SASROOT!\nls\en. The default location for SASROOT is C:\Program Files\SAS\SASFoundation\9.2\.
This issue has been fixed in SAS 9.3.
