Problem Note 41768: Using the PROC OPTGRAPH REACH statement with GRAPH_INTERNAL_FORMAT=THIN gives "An exception has been encountered"
When you use the REACH statement with GRAPH_INTERNAL_FORMAT=THIN, PROC OPTGRAPH stops processing, and returns an exception:
ERROR: An exception has been encountered.
Please contact technical support and provide them with the following traceback
information:
The SAS task name is [OPTGRAPH]

To avoid the problem, do not specify the GRAPH_INTERNAL_FORMAT= option (so that the default value, GRAPH_INTERNAL_FORMAT=FULL, is used instead).
Note: The default value, GRAPH_INTERNAL_FORMAT=FULL, requires more memory, so PROC OPTGRAPH might return an out-of-memory error for large data sets.
