Usage Note 41751: Requirements for scheduling SAS® Web Report Studio reports that include a SAS® Stored Process that executes on a standard workspace server
If a SAS Web Report Studio report includes a stored process that executes on a standard workspace server, then scheduling the report might fail. The SAS Web Report Studio log might contain an error that is similar to this one:
Root Cause: com.sas.report.render.models.ReportModelException:
Storedprocess did not run successfully: Insufficient information provided for a
connection to the metadata server.!
In order to schedule the report, you must take one of the following actions:
- Store a password in metadata for each user who needs to schedule the report.
Note: Internal accounts are not supported regardless of password storage.
- Execute the stored process on the stored process server instead of the workspace server.
- Enable token authentication for the workspace server.
Note: For information about how to set up token authentication, see the SAS Intelligence Platform: Security Administration Guide. You can find a link to the guide on the SAS® Intelligence Platform Product Documentation page. Click the tab for your release of SAS®, and then look under "Administration Documentation."
