Problem Note 41581: DEFER=YES option in an OLEDB library may return a read access violation in the Query Builder of SAS® Enterprise Guide
If you have an OLEDB library defined in SAS® Management console that contains the DEFER=YES option, you may receive the following read access violation in the Query Builder of SAS® Enterprise Guide:

This can occur when all of these conditions are met:
The Defer option is set to Yes in the library. By default, the value is set to No. The Defer option is defined on the Connection tab in the Advanced Options of the library properties. The option reads "Whether to defer a connection until needed:".
The library is preassigned
A table from this library is opened in the Query builder where a computed column is created from a column in the table.
To circumvent this problem, remove the Defer option from the library or do not preassign the library in the SAS® Management console.
