Problem Note 41487: Duplication message appears in Microsoft Excel when sorting data items in an information map opened using the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office
When sorting data items in an information map, you might see the following error in Microsoft Excel.
The item xxxx is already selected as a sort item
This message appears if you attempt to re-use a data item that has been selected and then removed from sorting. For example, on the Sort tab in the Open Information Map dialog box, you select Country as the second sort item, but then you remove it from the sort. If you attempt to select Country again, you will see the error.
As a workaround, if you need to re-use a data item that has been selected and then removed from sorting, click the Clear All button and re-specify all of your sort selections.
