When the SAS^® Marketing Optimization client is installed, a file called sasmoclient.ini is copied to the installation directory. The sasmoclient.ini file contains the following entry:

This entry instructs Eclipse to create a directory called configuration in the SAS^® Marketing Optimization client installation directory when the SAS^® Marketing Optimization client executes—if such a directory does not already exist.

Installing the SAS^® Marketing Optimization client on a shared server prevents users from using the client unless they have Write access to the SAS^® Marketing Optimization client installation directory. In this situation, Eclipse will not be able to update files in the configuration directory.

To correct this problem, manually update the sasmoclient.ini file and make the following changes, modify the -configuration option to point to the user's home directory as shown below. This ensures that all users have Write access to the configuration directory:
