Problem Note 41132: Unable to export data to an .xlsx file from SAS® Enterprise Guide®
For use with SAS Enterprise Guide 4.3x, you can download a custom add-in task that enables you to export data to an .xlsx file.
To download and use the custom task for SAS Enterprise Guide 4.3x, follow these steps:
- Close SAS Enterprise Guide.
- Click the following link to save the .zip file to your local machine.
Export to Microsoft Excel 2007/2010 Custom Add-In Task for 4.3
- Extract the .dll file and save it to your local machine.
- Open SAS Enterprise Guide, and select Tools ► Add-In ► Add-In Manager.
- In the Add-In Manager, click Browse and select the .dll file that you just saved. Click OK to close the Add-In Manager.
After installing the custom task, you can select Tools ► Add-In ►Export to Microsoft Excel 2007/2010 to export data to an .xlsx file.
In SAS Enterprise Guide 5.1x, you can use the built-in Export task in order to export data to an .xlsx file.
However, you also can use a 5.1x version of the custom add-in task in order to export data to an .xlsx file. To do so, use steps similar to the above, along with the custom task available from this link:

Note: This custom add-in task will not be updated beyond SAS Enterprise Guide 5.1x.
