You can access Microsoft SQL Server server that is not in your 'home' domain, using SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC, as follows:

Use the SQL Server Native Client 10 ODBC driver. Configure the data source name (DSN) in the ODBC Administrator, and select:

• With Integrated Windows authentication
• SPN (Optional): username@domain\password

The LIBNAME statement will only specify the DSN, e.g.

libname x odbc dsn=sqdb_auth;

but the Pass-Through code will look like this:

proc sql;
   connect to odbc (required="driver=sql server native client 10.0;
Server=server;Trusted_Connection=Yes;DATABASE=database;
ServerSPN=username@domain\password;");
