Problem Note 40885: Unable to run code or task, log is empty, node is green, for certain projects in SAS® Enterprise Guide®

Attempting to run any code or task node might fail to execute in SAS Enterprise Guide. Running any code or task node might generate an empty log, no output data, no result, and no error. This problem can occur when one or more project items is missing or corrupt.

In some cases, you can circumvent the problem by saving the project to a new project name, and then opening the new project. When opening the new project, an error similar to the following might appear, but the project opens and functions correctly.

An unknown error occurred while trying to create the project item with
label '_some_project_item_'. This item has been removed from the project.
