Problem Note 40820: Errors occur when you use the BULKUNLOAD= option with the default Netezza delimiter or you use the BL_DELIMITER= option to customize the delimiter

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

The following error message might be issued when you attempt to use the BULKUNLOAD= data set option or the BULKUNLOAD= LIBNAME option with the default character delimiter (|) in SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Netezza:

ERROR: Invalid data format in BULKUNLOAD stream. Verify that the data
does not contain the delimiter

In addition, the following error occurs when you use the BL_DELIMITER= data set option to customize the delimiter:

ERROR: Invalid option name \.

The issue occurs because SAS/ACCESS Interface to Netezza only allows single- character delimiters. Therefore, you cannot use ASCII delimiters greater than 127.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

This hot fix enables you to use ASCII delimiters greater than 127. After you apply the hot fix, if you use a 7-bit ASCII character (a character less than 127) as a delimiter, you should use the actual character as the value for the option #40;for example, BL_DELIMITER="|") However, if you want to use an extended character as a delimiter, you must use the decimal number for that character in the option. For instance, if you use ASCII character 202 as a delimiter, the option will be BL_DELIMITER=202.
