Problem Note 40521: SAS appears to hang in an endless loop if you use Cross Environment Data Access (CEDA) and select a large number of variables
SAS might appear to hang in an endless loop if you use Cross Environment Data Access (CEDA) and select a large number of variables. This problem is most likely to occur when accessing a foreign data set using CEDA to process more than a million variables. This might slow performance to the point where SAS appears to have gone into an endless loop.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
It is most likely accessing a foreign data set using CEDA to process more than a million variables that will slow performance to the point that SAS appears to have gone into an endless loop.
