Beginning with SAS® 9.2, filters can be defined as part of SAS® Information Map that uses a cube as its data source. (The behavior of these filters is described in SAS Note 37628.) One requirement of these filters is the inclusion of a common parent with the filtered members. This common parent can be the All member of the hierarchy, which is typically the easiest option. This requirement ensures that the filter returns the expected data. Without the common parent, a new default member is established as part of the dimension, which can result in unexpected results when the dimension is placed in the hidden axis of the report.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue. The hot fix will automatically add the All member to the filter when it is created.
