Problem Note 40221: An S0C4 abend might occur when you access DB2 in the z/OS operating system
An S0C4 abend might occur when DB2 generates a non-zero return code following a fetch and when connections to DB2 are unique. The abend that appears is similar to the following:

The workaround for this problem is to make sure all of your connections to DB2 are defined as CONNECTION=GLOBAL.
