Problem Note 40125: A slow response might occur when you connect to a SAS application server from client applications

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

A slow response might occur when you connect to an application server such as SAS Workspace Server or SAS® Stored Process Server from a client application such as SAS® Enterprise Guide®. The slow response occurs when you have a large number of pre-assigned RDBMS or SAS® Scalable Performance Data Server® libraries associated with an application server and you have a large number of logins defined in your SAS® Metadata Repository.

The problem is that the server initialization code that pre-assigns the libraries must retrieve the login credentials for each library from the SAS Metadata Repository. Instead of requesting only the logins associated with the current user, the process retrieves the entire list of logins for the authentication domain that is associated with the library. To assign the library, the process must then evaluate the metadata authorizations for every login that is returned to determine which logins can be used by the current user. This process repeats for each pre-assigned library.
