Users might experience slow performance in the Query tab and Customer Transaction window when using SAS Anti-Money Laundering with MySQL.

The problem occurs due to the manner in which MySQL processes tables views containing UNION statements with an applied WHERE clause. MySQL performs the UNION of each view table and applies the WHERE condition to the temporary table.

The queries used by the Query tab and Customer Transaction windows are rewritten to apply the WHERE condition to each view before the UNION statement takes place. These changes improve the performance of the queries.
