Problem Note 40767: The server for the Operating System Services Scheduler fails to validate
If the SAS configuration directory pathname includes a space in the name, the server for the Operating System Services Scheduler might fail to validate.
To circumvent the problem, modify the invocation command of the Operating System Services Scheduler as follows:
- In SAS® Management Console, expand Server Manager.
- Right-click Operating System Services Scheduler and select Properties from the menu.
- Click the Options tab.
- On this tab, place double quotation marks around the command in the Command text box that is under the Launch Commands section. For example, if the command is C:\sas\biserver 9.2\Lev1\SchedulingServer\ScehedulingServer.bat, add the quotation marks, as follows:
"C:\sas\biserver 9.2\Lev1\SchedulingServer\ScehedulingServer.bat"
Alternately, you can upgrade to the third maintenance release for SAS® 9.2 (TS2M3). In this release of SAS, the space in the pathname is handled appropriately.
