Problem Note 40730: Notes and a warning occur in SAS logs for certain DB2 aggregation jobs in SASĀ® IT Resource Management
In SAS IT Resource Management release 3.2, the following notes and warning can appear multiple times in the SAS logs of certain DB2 aggregation jobs:
NOTE: Invalid numeric data, ATTACHTYPE='4:CICS ATTACH' , at
line nnn column nnn.
NOTE: Invalid numeric data, ATTACHTYPE='2:DB2 CALL ATTACH' , at
line nnn column nnn.
WARNING: Limit set by ERRORS= option reached. Further errors of
this type will not be printed.
The DB2 aggregations of concern are those with names that end with DB2CicsPlan, DB2CicsTrans, and DB2CicsTransPlan. The notes and warning are caused by an invalid aggregation filter that is definition for these three aggregations.
Follow these steps to correct the problem:
- Edit the appropriate aggregation job (named DB2CicsPlan, DB2CicsTrans, or DB2CicsTransPlan) using the SAS IT Resource Management client.
- Double-click the SMF DB2 aggregation transformation to open the Properties window.
- Click the SAS IT Resource Management Options tab. You should see one row with the name of DB2 CICS and an expression of ATTACHTYPE.
- Double-click the field that contains ATTACHTYPE, and then click the ellipsis (...) icon that appears to the right to display the Expression Builder. In that window, change the Expression Text field to read: ATTACHTYPE ="4:CICS ATTACH"
Note: Despite the contents of the notes described above, whereever ATTACHTYPE is shown with different values, you must set the filter expression to the value that is shown above.
- Click OK twice to save your changes, and then close and save the job.
- Redeploy the job to put your changes into effect in batch.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
