Problem Note 40514: A SAS® Marketing Optimization scenario does not optimize with an error indicating that the length of a macro variable value exceeds the maximum length
A scenario might fail to optimize in SAS Marketing Optimization. If this happens, you might see an error in the optimize.log that indicates that the length of the value of a macro variable exceeds the maximum length.
This problem might be caused by having more than 20,000 segments that need to be adjusted in a scenario. This is because you are reading the list of segments that need to be adjusted into a single macro variable to create a string. That string is too long to fit in a single macro variable.
