Problem Note 40508: Activating or deactivating a SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager flow might fail with a "RTDM Server is not available.." message
When you activate or deactivate a decision flow or campaign in SAS Real-Time Decision Manager, two dialog boxes in a row might appear. The first contains a message stating that the flow was updated in the repository. The second contains a message stating that the action will be rolled back because the engine is unavailable.
RTDM Server is not available to sync RTDMConfigTest.

This behavior occurs when the engine server is unavailable, although the second message is not always returned in this case. If the engine server is unavailable for any reason when you attempt to activate or deactivate a flow, the attempt fails. The flow returns to its previous state. The SAS Real-Time Decision Manager Plug-in for SAS® Management Console might incorrectly report successful activation or deactivation.
The state of the SAS Real-Time Decision Manager engine server is correctly reflected in the engine server log. To avoid the problem described above, check the state in the engine server log before you attempt to activate or deactivate a flow.
