Installation Note 40269: Starting the IBM WebSphere Deployment Manager (DMGR) in the z/OS operating environment
Under z/OS, IBM WebSphere only supports creation of profiles using the zPMT creation tools. Before you run the WebSphere configuration for the SAS midle tier, the WebSphere administrator must create the default deployment manager (dmgr) and managed node profiles, as well as the application servers. The administrator can provide you with the port assignments and names of the associated WebSphere cell, node, and application servers for your middle-tier application server.
To start or restart the WebSphere application servers, use the WebSphere administration console, as follows:
- Select Immediate Stop.
- When the stop completes, select Start.
If the WebSphere administrator has not granted access to perform these operations, you must work with the administrator to perform the starting or restarting of the application servers.
