SAS Web Report Studio enables you to distribute reports via e-mail as embedded HTML or as a PDF attachment. If a report has group breaks, you can distribute the report to specific recipients based on group break values. This sample explains how you use this feature.
Note: This sample was created using SAS Web Report Studio with the third maintenance release for SAS 9.2 (TS2M3). In-processing scheduling was used.
To create the Global Shoe Sales information map used in the sample, you can submit the PROC INFOMAPS code on the Full Code tab in this sample. The steps in the sample refer to this information map.
In order to distribute reports, you must be assigned the Advanced Scheduling:Distribute capability. In order to create distribution lists, you must be assigned the Administrative:Manage Distribution List capability. For more information about capabilities, see Predefined Roles in the SAS 9.2 Intelligence Platform: Web Application Administration Guide.
Here is what the report might look like at this point.
Tip: To distribute to a list of recipients, enter an e-mail list address.
The following display is an example of what the PDF report for Boot might look like when opened from an e-mail.
