Installation Note 40233: SAS® Enterprise Guide® fails to start and an error message appears
When you invoke SAS Enterprise Guide, it might fail to start, and the following error message appears:
Required Component is missing. SAS Workspace Manager is not installed or registered.
This error might be caused by the atl.dll file not being registered.
To register atl.dll, follow these steps:
- Open the Command Prompt window.
- Navigate to the system32 directory. Depending on your Windows operating system, this directory might be located at C:\Windows\System32 or C:\WINNT\System 32.
- Type regsvr32 atl.dll.
- Press ENTER.
- Reinstall SAS Enterprise Guide.
