Problem Note 39374: The error "ERROR: Variable is not on file .STATES" occurs when you execute a simulation analysis in SAS® Risk Dimensions®

When you execute a simulation analysis in SAS Risk Dimensions, you might receive an error similar to the following:
"ERROR: Variable <reference-variable> is not on file <libref>.STATES."
This error is known to occur when a portfolio file references a risk factor array that only contains one dimension during the analysis project execution. You can circumvent this error by adding another element to the array.
