Problem Note 39868: NODMSSYNCHK option is not resetting the OBS= value to zero after syntax check mode is enabled with previous DMSSYNCHK set
When using the DMSSYNCHK system option to have SAS stop processing and set the option OBS=0 start syntax check mode, then changing the system option back to NODMSSYNCHK after a step boundary to have subsequent steps stop syntax check mode. The NODMSSYNCHK option is set as the current option setting, but the OBS=0 remains in effect. Even when trying to specify OBS=MAX on an OPTIONS statement after NODMSSYNCHK is set has no effect and OBS= remains at 0.
This is corrected beginning in SAS 9.3.
