Usage Note 39434: Themes might not display in the "Default theme" list in the SAS® Information Delivery Portal when you use the Secure Sockets Layer
When you run the SAS Information Delivery Portal through the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and you select Options ► Preferences, the SAS Default and SAS Winter themes might not be displayed as values in the Default theme list of the Preferences portal page.
The following error might occur in the services.log file that is located in the
/Lev1/web/Deployments/RemoteServices/ logs directory:
[ERROR] com.sas.webapp.servlet.util.ServletUtil - Unable to process request url:
https://hostname:443/SASTheme_winter/themes/ThemeXMLFiles.config
org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpException: Unable to process request -1
at org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpClient.executeMethod(HttpClient.java:672)
at com.sas.webapp.servlet.util.ServletUtil.readUrl(ServletUtil.java:334)
at com.sas.webapp.themes.util.ThemesDescriptorFetcher.run
(ThemesDescriptorFetcher.java:90)
...
This error occurs if SAS Remote Services cannot locate the certificate that is implemented with SSL.
To correct the problem, add the following parameter to the script that is used to start SAS Remote Services:
-Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=path-to-your-.keystore-file0/home/sas/.keystore
The default scripts that (StartRemoteServices.sh or StartRemoteServices.bat ) start SAS Remote Services are located in the /Lev1/web/Deployments/RemoteServices/WEB-INF directory. If SAS Remote Services is installed as a Windows service, you must add the parameter above to the wrapper.conf file that is located in this directory.
After you add the parameter, you must restart SAS Remote Services and your Web application server (for example, Apache Tomcat).
